McDougall Art Ltd

How McDougall Art Happened

McDougall Art Ltd director Sarah Mcdougall has been married to Ewan for twenty two years. She has a strong knowledge, love and understanding of both him and his work.

Sarah has worked as a curator, playwright, actor and producer.

During Sarah's studies in entrepreneurship at Otago University she had a flash of inspiration.

She met with her lawyer and accountant to discuss her idea of an easy-payment plan. The results from research proved that her art-financing package had the potential to be a winner.

A contract was drawn up and a system to arrange all the nuts and bolts of managing direct debits was arranged. McDougall Art Ltd was born at the University of Otago Staff Club, November 2004.

Testimonials

Scott Mason

My wife Lisa saw On the Slope and loved it instantly. I looked up McDougall Art Ltd on the internet, saw the financial package they offered, and decided to buy the painting for Lisa as a surprise Christmas present. I paid a deposit on delivery before Xmas, then twelve installments with no interest. It now has pride of place in our living room.

Dr. Jodyanne Kirkwood

"I was completing my doctorate when I saw Dr.Spin and it spoke to me, my life was so full on, in a whirl, like the green swirling koru-esque patterns. I might not have bought it if it wasn't for the McDougall Art Ltd offer. Buying the painting over a year made it so easy for me. Now my life has calmed somewhat and I see different things in my painting, he looks happier, less frantic. I love it."

Lisa Warrington

"I was at the launch of McDougall Art Ltd at the University of Otago Staff Club. I bought two paintings, Whats Up and Little Green Man. It's a fantastic scheme, I'm buying them over three years, and took possession straight away, which means I could start enjoying them immediately."
